Following the Spiritual Soul
Finding the spiritual in our everyday lives...
What does “following the spiritual soul”
mean?  It means following your heart, it
means love and kindness, it means
realizing that we are all connected in
spirit.  Most importantly it means wisdom
and an awareness of the spiritual in your
everyday life.
When you open yourself up to this
wisdom and become aware of the
spiritual in your everyday life you will find
that your life will change.  The beauty of
the earth will amaze you like it never did
before and the love that you have in your
heart will grow within you as you become
filled with the light and love of the Divine.
You will become more patient and calm
and your life will change in amazing ways
when you follow your spiritual soul…
Paula M. Ezop’s inspirational columns Following the Spiritual Soul have appeared in Oconee Today, a South Carolina
Scripps Howard publication. They are currently in:
Celebrating the Success of the Modern Woman, and Esteem
Yourself. She has contributed to Chicken Soup for the Caregivers Soul and she has written the foreword to Whispers
of Inspiration, a collection of both poetry and prose gathered from voices around the world. Paula also co-authored
a book in the Mommies Line, Spirituality for Mommies. Exciting news!
Wiggles Press Books  has published her
children’s chapter book, The Adventures of Penelope Star and the Mystery of the Three Dragons, this is the first in
her series of Penelope Star adventures – released in May, 2010.
Wiggles Press will also be releasing her new
chapter book, Leigh Mc Kenzie's Summer to Remember in September, 2011.

I absolutely love writing for children, it takes you to a place where all things are possible, a place where dreams
come true and fantasy becomes reality. Bears can talk, mountains can move, dogs can sing, and alligators can dance.
You bring all of the characters that exist in your mind to life, they become real, and you have the pleasure of sharing
them with everyone who reads your books.

When you are a writer ideas are always popping into your head. Suddenly you will think of a story line, or a great
place for a story. Characters will jump out at you, and you know everything about them, the color of their hair and
eyes, how tall or how short they are, what they like and what they dislike, you even know what their voice sounds
like. Your ideas arrive at the craziest of times – mostly when you are in the shower and you just hope that you are
able to remember them!

While creating The Adventures of Penelope Star and the Mystery of the Three Dragons, I knew that Penny, Dolly,
Billy, Eddie, and Ben, who are known as the Fearless Five had lots of adventures to take. After all, they are best of
friends, and Dragon Point Maine (the small town that they live in) is just filled with secrets, hidden passage ways,
buried treasure, stories of pirates, and maybe even a ghost or two.

Writing for children is simply the best, most fantabulous, and superlisicious fun thing that I can do – why you even
get to make up your own words! Yes, the Fearless Five became real and made their debut in their first adventure
The Mystery of the Three Dragons. And, that’s what makes writing for children so exciting, to see your characters
come to life!
