Following the Spiritual Soul
Finding the spiritual in our everyday lives...
I love to write children’s stories and one Christmas many years ago I asked God to give me
a children’s Christmas story. Yes, that’s right; I know it sounds silly and crazy of me. But, I
did, I asked God to help me write a children’s Christmas story. I wanted it to be a hit – you
know like “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.” I will never forget that snowy December
afternoon when God answered my request and, “How Patrick the Polar Bear Saved
Christmas” became a reality.
Needless to say years have gone by and all I have is a stack of publisher’s rejection slips.
It seems that publishers aren't as excited as we were about Patrick! So, I find myself still
looking for a home for Patrick...it doesn't mean that it won't be successful - it just means
that the time isn't right yet. You see God works in mysterious ways. I keep hearing him
say, "Sometimes the first maybe the last, and the last maybe the first." So, I'll keep on
trying!
When the spiritual and the creative soul
communicate the results can be amazing!
I continue to write children's stories as they bring great joy to my heart and a smile to my face. I am now working on a children's spiritual self-help series, the "Sparkly Me" series.
...A child's smile and gentle hug warms your heart and lights up your soul...
